SECOND GLOBAL ON MJET’S AOC

Friday, March 29th, 2013

Vienna, Austria

MJET increases its charter fleet following the addition of a brand new Global 6000 ultra-long-range jet to its AOC. The Austrian operator has taken delivery of the new large cabin aircraft from its manufacturer in Montreal, Canada following one week inspection and certification formalities.

When asked to describe the difference between the Global 6000 and the Global 5000 — both types in operator’s fleet — MJET’s Global fleet chief pilot, Julio APARICIO, explains: “First of all, the Global 6000 has 1000 nautical miles more range than the Global 5000. It is one of the very few ultra-long-range jet types currently built. The Vision cockpit, in service since last year, has been designed with safety and enhanced situational and system awareness in mind. In a Vision cockpit the pilots are better informed about what is happening in the aircraft and outside the aircraft, e.g. the SVS (Synthetic Vision System) lets the pilots see the terrain ahead and around them, thus enhancing safety tremendously when you fly to an airport you are not very familiar with.”

MJET ADDS AIRBUS CORPORATE JET

Sunday, January 6th, 2013

Vienna, Austria

MJET GmbH reconfirms its heavy jet fleet consolidation objectives and focus on large and ultra-large cabin jet management services after receiving a new A319 Corporate Jet from a Swiss-based completion center on behalf of a private customer. The new bizliner is capable of long-range missions and is based in Eastern Europe.

Widely recognized as being the top-end of top-of-the-line corporate jets, the Airbus ACJ sets new standards in comfort and spaciousness. Capable of reaching destinations at 11,000 km distance with the maximum number of installed additional fuel tanks, the ACJ features a cabin which is still almost twice as wide and three times as voluminous as traditional business jets, with most modern designs in its class.

The ACJ family introduced new features to business aviation, such as the fly-by-wire controls, advanced fuel-saving aerodynamics and extensive use of weight-saving materials. Derived from the A320 family, the bizliner features extra fuel-tanks in the cargo hold to provide intercontinental range, a luxury cabin, built-in airstairs for autonomy at remote airports and excellent take-off performance.

“MJET is proud of being one of the members of the prestigious ACJ operators’ family. Although it is the first Airbus in our fleet, we have a reach experience in operating bizliners. The new ACJ includes all the amenities essential to the perfect travel experience and offers to our client all the advantages of efficient, intercontinental flight,” says Dan Rusu, MJET’s Asset Manager.
